Description
The University of Wisconsin River Falls invites you and your fellow coaches to the UWRF Strength, Conditioning & Performance Clinic. Presenters include:
Ben Gray is certified through USA Weightlifting and has been the strength and conditioning coach at Elmhurst College since 2009. In addition to coaching football, his strength and conditioning focus is working with football, women’s basketball, volleyball and softball. Under Gray’s supervision, the Elmhurst College Bluejays’ football team had their best year in the school’s history winning their conference and making it to the second round of the NCAA National Championship Tournament. Gray and his wife both graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2003 and have one daughter living in the west suburbs of Chicago.
Carl Dietz has been the Head Olympic Strength and Conditioning coach for numerous sports at the University of Minnesota since 2000. Under Dietz, the athletes have achieved 400 All-American honors, 29 Big Ten/WCHA championship teams and NCAA Team Champions; and 13 teams finish in the top four in the nation and 9 NCAA National Championship teams. He has consulted with Olympic and World Champions in various sports and professional athletes in the NHL, NFL, MLB and Professional Boxing.
Thomas Inkrott has been the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Minnesota State University, Mankato, since 2009. During his tenure, he has trained 52 NCAA All Americans, 22 NSIC Conference Championships, one National Championship and one National top-four finish. Prior to Inkrott’s current position with MSU, he was a graduate assistant from 2007-2009 and earned a master’s degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Recognized early in his stint at MSU as an up-and-comer, Inkrott oversaw men’s and women’s track and field, wrestling, softball, men’s and women’s golf, swim and dive teams. In January 2009, he assumed the role of Director of Strength and Conditioning at MSU and responsibility of all 23 men’s and women’s sports. The Glandorf, Ohio, native earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Bowling Green State University in December of 2006. Among his numerous certifications are SCSC, ATC, USAW, and USATF-level 1.
Adam Maronde is currently the head strength and conditioning coach for all sports at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. Coach Maronde was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and spent time at the Athletes’ Performance Institute in Tempe, AZ, and in the Seattle Mariners’ farm system. During his time at Augsburg, Coach Marone has been fortunate enough to coach 7 national champions and over 35 All-Americans in the past 6 years.
Carmen Pata is the Director of Athletic Performance for the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. During his time with the Falcons, they have produced 14 WIAC and NCHA conference champions and 7 teams in the NCAA National Tournaments. In addition to working with college athletes, Pata has assisted local high schools in developing strength and conditioning programs. A competitor as well, Pata has won regional North American Strongman competitions, the 2012 Master National competitions, 2012 Master National Weightlifting Championship and placed 3rdin the 2012 Pan-American Masters Weightlifting Championship.
Todd Wilkinson, Ph.D. is the Assistant Professor of Psychology, Sport Psychology Consultant, University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Dr. Wilkinson will discuss how sports psychology can affect strength, conditioning and performance through specific strategies such as goal-setting, proper focus and activation.
