In conjunction with the current River Falls Public Library gallery exhibit, The Promised Land: Coming to America, UW-River Falls history professor Kurt Leichtle will present ?Dreams, Hopes, and Crisis: Historical Perspectives on Immigration.? The program, which is free and open to the public, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 24 in the library?s lower level. Leichtle is a very popular speaker and his presentations are always fast-paced and interesting. The gallery exhibit will continue through Sunday, January 31. The library is located at the corner of Main and Union streets at the north edge of historic downtown.
